Profile

I am a thirty-seven year old graphic designer based in Gloucestershire. I currently work as Senior Graphic Designer for Effective Marketing Solutions, who's clients include Ikea, Yeo Valley Organic, Bulmers, Coca-Cola, Ecover. I have over 20 years of experience in the design and marketing industry and have 15 years of Macintosh experience. I am very creative, skilled, and down-to-earth, with a great eye for detail and a 'can-do' attitude. In this industry I recognise that things are constantly moving. I always keep abreast of trends and changes in society and ensure this is reflected in my work.

Recent major achievements

 1. Designing and artworking a successful promotional campaign for Yeo Valley Organic who is the official recycling partner at the Glastonbury Festival. They ran a national on-pack, text-to-win promotion on 3 million packs of yogurt to win 10 pairs of Glastonbury Festival tickets. I designed the campaign theme, 'go green at glastonbury', to convey their strong recycling message to all consumers. The fully integrated campaign included designing promotional packaging, viral marketing, a promotional website and advertising.

2. Designing, artworking and managing production of a merchandise catalogue for Coca-Cola Enterprises. This was to highlight the Coke and Schweppes branded point-of-sale items available to licensees to drive soft drink sales in their outlets. Designed using 6 colours including Pantone Silver to compliment the aluminium POS. Working closely with Alpha Colour Printers on the complex print process to achieve a high quality finish.

 3. Designing a website for Ecover informing their consumers how ecologically friendly their products are. Consumers where directed to the website by a national press advertising campaign and on-pack promotion. The animated website contained product and environmental information in a format that was easy to appreciate and fun to navigate. The website included several games and a 'challenge a friend' mechanic to create viral marketing.

 4. Designing and artworking a trade press advertising campaign to increase brand awareness and reinforce Sharwood's Pan Asian expertise, adding authentic recipe suggestions encourage product trial. The client wanted clear differentiation between, Chinese, Indian and Thai which was achieved successfully.

5. Setting up and managing a web-based picture library system for Yeo Valley Organic. This was designed and set-up for them to establish a product image library they could store, display, search, manage and share their product images using the internet.
